Carmen is very correct and pretty with a short head, big beautiful eyes, a short back with a nice tailset, and straight legs with plenty of bone. She has been easy to get in foal, with no foaling problems whatsoever. She has been an excellent mother. She is open at this time.
Carmen's dam, Alvesta Adora Belle, was brought from Canada to the U.S. as a youngster. She has been an excellent producer for us, consistently producing foals with type and substance. Carmen has a variety of possibilities before her, as she is a young mare. She has the disposition to make a lovely child's pony and she has long, low movement and would make a wonderful small pony hunter. In addition, her breeding would certainly be an excellent addition to a serious sport pony or Welsh breeding program.
Carmen's sire, Dixie Prince, is extremely well bred, carrying 5 crosses to the GREAT Coed Coch Glyndwr, 2 crosses to such greats as Criban Victor, *Coed Coch Ballog, *Cusop Sheriff, GlanNant Tango and many other well known and well bred ponies. He recently passed on to the greener pastures in the sky, and sadly left few purebred offspring behind. He was a truly wonderful pony-- a real gentleman with the old Welsh type.
SOLD - Congratulations to Dayna Hartman, Jupiter, Florida. You will truly enjoy this wonderful mare!
